Favorite links (intro) to

Free Graphics

These are recommended links to sites where artists offer for free some of their own home-made graphics (some of them sell graphics as well).
(I do not recommend sites that collect graphics from the Web!)
I've found lots of useful graphics at these sites - I've put some of them in folders on my harddisk (one folder per artist) for later use.

Use these links pages for trying out new sites. They are not credits pages, the credits are given on each page separately. If you want the source of one of my graphics, check the text links on the page where it's used (or mail me).

Text links only would have given faster loading of the pages, but I have assumed you would want a small sample of each artist's work as well. I've spread the links over several pages with the newest on top of the last page, and I've included the graphics' height and width in the page code, which should help speed up the loading of the pages.

Marianne Johansen has made some of my graphics - I've scanned them from her drawings and colored them myself. If she ever makes a site offering web graphics, I'll let you know.

Since sadly, more and more artists find that they have to stop giving out their graphics for free and start selling it instead, I'm also including some links to Purchaseware Graphics.
